The Officers and Directors of 2015 TOPPS would like to invite you and your guests to the TOPPS 30th Anniversary and the Boat Club’s 10th Anniversary Party to be held at Moody Gardens Hotel, Galveston, TX on Saturday, October 3, 2015.
We have planned a day of boating and a pool party at Moody Gardens with the Anniversary Party to follow in the evening.
Moody Gardens Hotel has blocked out rooms for the TOPPS Group and the Boat Club. To reserve a room for an overnight stay please call the Moody Gardens Hotel main reservation desk at 409-741-8484 or toll free at 800-338-8484. The price for one room is set at $179.00. You may have to state you are with the TOPPS Group
and or reference code “TOPPS102015”. Room check-in is at 4:00 p.m.
Moody Gardens has boat slips set aside for our groups for $69.00 a night. The slips are first come first serve. There will be a shuttle bus running from the boat slips and the hotel lobby. Please indicate during registration whether or not you require a boat slip. You are responsible for the marina fees, but we (TOPPS) will be submitting payment for these slips directly to Moody Gardens.
The schedule of events for Saturday October 3rd 2015 are as follows:
- For our guest and members going by boat we will be leaving the Turtle Club around 10:45 a.m.
- We will proceed to Top Water Grill to have refreshments and or a light lunch.
- We will continue on to Galveston at about 1:00 p.m. proceeding to Moody Gardens Pier and boat slips.
- For all of our members and guest arriving by boat or vehicle there will be a pool party at the Moody Gardens main pool and pool bar at 2:00 p.m. till 6:00 p.m.
- The pool bar will be open (weather permitting) and there will be waitresses serving the pool area. Food is also available from the Hotel at the pool area.
- TOPPS & the Boat Club is providing a hospitality area next to the main pool. This will be hosted by Daryl Turner and Andrew Grande. This is during the pool party at 2:00 p.m. thru 6:00 p.m.
- The Anniversary Party will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the banquet room.
- There will be light finger food served at 7:30 p.m.
- Main banquet dinner will begin at 8:00 p.m. The dinner will be a French Quarter Type menu.
- We will have a live band starting to perform at 8:00 p.m. until 12:00 a.m.
- There will be an open bar (no cost to you) beginning at 7:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. all premium liquors and beer will be available (tipping is recommended).
- The attire for our Galveston Cruise Party will be “Yacht Attire”. (http://www.yacht-ready.com/what-to-wear-to-a-yacht-party/)
- We will have a photo booth for your use and enjoyment.
- Cher Floyd is assisting us with the past memorabilia. Unfortunately, Cher and John will not be able to attend the party. You can contact one of the officers and/or directors with your items or information.
- We will have a photographer walking around and hope to get everyone’s pictures.
- Starting around 11:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. there will be an after party at the hospitality suite near the main pool hosted by Daryl Turner and Andrew Grande.
Please register as soon as possible to allow us to confirm an accurate headcount for the meal.
The admission cost for the anniversary party (includes the evenings open bar) is $130.00 per person.
